Bellevue selects Civic Innovation Challenge partners
Bellevue has selected four innovative tech partners for its Civic Innovation Challenge, aiming to address municipal challenges through AI solutions. Certivo, Legislaide, Juganu, and FindIt will pilot their projects with support from the city, including up to $15,000 in stipends. Certivo's platform enhances vendor compliance monitoring, while Legislaide's tool simplifies legal drafting by analyzing municipal codes. Juganu's smart lighting system will monitor curbside activity for public safety, and FindIt helps users locate lost items efficiently. These pilot projects will be showcased at the Innovation Exchange on October 16, an event designed to highlight civic tech innovations.
Bellevue's initiative is also supported by an updated AI policy emphasizing ethical and responsible AI use. The policy outlines evaluation and implementation frameworks to ensure technology enhances public services and community trust. This effort reflects a commitment to leveraging technology for improved city operations and citizen engagement.
