Q2 Stadium to host three Gold Cup matches

Austin's Q2 Stadium is set to host three matches in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, a tournament that began this past weekend to determine the best men's national soccer team in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The first matchup will see the U. S. take on Saudi Arabia on Thursday, after the U. S.

secured a 5-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago. Tickets for the matches are available starting at $80. In addition to the U. S. -Saudi Arabia match, Q2 Stadium will feature Guatemala versus Panama on Friday and Panama against Jamaica on June 24.

Saudi Arabia participates as CONCACAF's official "invited guest," part of its strategy to enhance its global image through sports investments. The tournament's significance is heightened by Saudi Arabia's involvement, illustrating the shifting dynamics in international soccer. The matches will be broadcast on FS1 in English and on TUDN and ViX in Spanish. This tournament marks a notable event for Austin, showcasing its growing prominence in hosting major sporting events.
