Austin, TXLocal News

The Austin Police Department's Robbery Unit is actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in two armed robberies that occurred in September and October 2024. The first robbery took place on September 29 at Craigo’s Pizza, where the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. Just a few days later, on October 1, the same suspect entered Tiff’s Treats, also brandishing a handgun, but left empty-handed after being refused. The suspect is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 30 years of age, between 5’0” and 5’4” tall, and weighing around 130 lbs. Witnesses reported that she has dark hair, may have a cast on her right arm, and speaks English with a foreign accent.

Photos of the suspect have been released as part of the investigation, and the APD is urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted directly to the APD or anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program. The swift response of the community in aiding the police could be crucial in resolving these serious incidents.
