The Austin Police Department (APD) has announced the arrest of Mithovar Antoine Jr. in connection with the homicide of Nikolas Eugenio Martinez, which occurred on July 23, 2021. An arrest warrant for Capital Murder was issued on September 18, 2024, leading to Antoine's apprehension by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on September 24, 2024. Martinez, a young Hispanic male, suffered a fatal stab wound and was found at a convenience store after attempting to seek help. Despite the quick response from emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into this case has been ongoing, with the APD previously issuing a First-Degree Murder warrant for Antoine in September 2024. The department is appealing to the community for any additional information that could aid in the investigation.
