The Austin Police Department (APD) is actively seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a violent aggravated robbery that took place on December 12, 2024, at the Tornado Bus Company located on East Ben White Boulevard. The incident occurred around 3:25 p. m. , when a female employee was confronted by the suspect, who brandished a firearm and demanded money. After physically assaulting her by pistol-whipping and punching, the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Described as a Hispanic male in his 50s to 60s, the suspect was last seen wearing a plain black hooded jacket, a baseball hat, and a black medical face mask. APD has urged anyone with information to reach out to their robbery unit or submit tips anonymously via Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest, emphasizing the community's role in enhancing public safety. This case raises significant concerns about safety in local businesses and the need for vigilance.
