Upon arrival, they found the cyclist with severe injuries, who was then rushed to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. The Austin Police Department is actively investigating the incident, which, as of now, is not suspected to involve any criminal activity. In an effort to gather more information, detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has pertinent information to come forward. The Highway Investigation Tip Line is open for tips, and the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program allows for anonymous submissions, with a reward of up to $1,000 offered for information leading to an arrest.
