Running from April 1 to August 31, the operation targeted fugitives with significant criminal records, as Chief Daniel Comeaux emphasized the importance of removing habitual criminals from the streets. The arrested individuals collectively faced over 1,900 previous arrests, showcasing the severity of the issue. Mayor Eric Johnson endorsed the operation, describing it as a smart, data-driven approach to policing that effectively addresses crime hotspots. The operation's achievements align with ongoing discussions regarding a new city budget, which proposes an additional $60 million for police and fire departments.

Johnson asserted that this funding will provide Comeaux with the necessary resources to continue improving public safety.
