Authorities are urging consumers to avoid specific frozen shrimp from Walmart after radioactive contamination was found in imports from Indonesia. The FDA revealed that shrimp from PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati tested positive for Cesium-137, a radioactive isotope linked to cancer risk with prolonged exposure. Walmart's Great Value Frozen Raw EZ Peel Tail-On Farm-Raised White Vannamei Shrimp, sold in two-pound bags with a best-by date of March 15, 2027, is subject to recall across 13 states, including Texas. While no illnesses have been reported, officials are taking immediate action to ensure consumer safety.

Walmart announced its swift recall efforts to prevent the contaminated shrimp from being sold. Consumers can return the affected products for a refund or dispose of them safely.
