2 men injured inside building on Campbellton Road by outside gunfire

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a shooting incident in southwest Atlanta left two men injured, prompting an investigation by local police. Officers from Zone 4 were dispatched to the scene on Campbellton Road SW around 1:05 a. m. and quickly learned that the victims had already vacated the area. One victim, a 65-year-old man, was found in the 1800 block, conscious and alert despite suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The second victim, a 33-year-old man, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle, where he was reported to be stable. Initial findings indicate that the victims were inside a building when gunfire erupted from outside, leading to the injuries. Investigators are diligently working to piece together the circumstances surrounding this violent act. As of now, no arrests have been reported, and the investigation remains ongoing. The community is left on edge as authorities pursue leads in this troubling incident.
