Utility Improvement Pavement Preservation Project Update

Arlington's 2025 Utility Improvement and Pavement Preservation project is advancing with significant work on West Avenue, focusing on curb ramps and curb reconstruction. Scheduled next week, the restoration and grinding of Gleneagle Boulevard will proceed from Monday to Friday, dependent on weather conditions. First Street will be closed to traffic from Olympic Avenue to Dunham Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday to complete grinding and paving work. The city advises residents to use alternative routes during the closure and to drive cautiously in construction zones for the safety of workers and the public.
