Steve Berentson, a fourth-generation native of Skagit County, returned to Anacortes in 1980 after being relocated in 1960. He celebrates the area's natural beauty, including its rugged beaches and pristine lakes, through his photography. Berentson offers prints of his work for $12 each for 5x7 inch archival prints, with mailing costs included. His photography not only showcases the landscape but also focuses on the community's vibrant mix of natives and immigrants. He plans to feature many local residents in his journal entries, emphasizing their importance to the area's character.

Berentson’s work reflects a deep connection to Fidalgo Island, which he describes as a beloved home. The local environment and its people significantly influence his artistic vision. His prints serve as a means for others to appreciate the beauty of Anacortes and its residents.
