Steve Berentson, a fourth-generation Skagit County native, returned to his hometown of Anacortes in 1980 after being relocated in 1960. He cherishes the natural beauty of Fidalgo Island, which features rugged beaches, pristine lakes, and expansive forests. Berentson's photography reflects his love for the community, showcasing both its stunning landscapes and diverse residents. He offers prints of his work for $12 for a 5 x 7 inch archival print, which includes mailing. His images aim to capture the essence of Anacortes and its people, including both natives and immigrants.

Berentson has been actively documenting his experiences and observations through journal entries. The rich natural assets and community spirit of the area are central themes in his photography. By sharing his work, Berentson hopes to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of Skagit County.
