First Friday Artwalk for April

The First Friday Artwalk in Anacortes will take place on April 4 from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. , showcasing the vibrant local art scene.

Scott Milo Gallery will celebrate its 14th show with the NW Pastel Society, displaying 63 new juried pastels, including landscapes and florals. In addition to the gallery, visitors can explore studios featuring diverse works like Cathy Schoenberg's oil florals and Michael Clough's sculpted oils. Alley Cat Antiques will present metal art from Chris Stanton, a local artist known for his innovative designs. Jo Anderson Studio invites attendees to view her oil paintings and inquire about art classes. MoonWater Arts will launch new fused glass classes, complete with live demonstrations of glass techniques.

Ink & Wool will highlight creations from over 30 local artisans, including unique knitwear and hand-printed T-shirts. This event not only celebrates art but also fosters community engagement and supports local artists.

Community leaders attended to reaffirm the refinery's commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
