Local veterans celebrated in photos

Anacortes, WALocal News

Anacortes Middle School will showcase photographs of military veterans in preparation for Veterans Day on November 11. The display on “M” Avenue highlights the contributions of local veterans and allows the community to engage with their stories visually. Steve Berentson emphasizes the significance of this tribute as a way to honor their sacrifices. Available for purchase, the prints cost $12 for a 5 X 7 inch archival print, including mailing. This annual tradition strengthens community ties and recognizes the dedication of veterans.

It also serves as a reminder of the ongoing need to acknowledge their service beyond just one day. The display contributes to a broader culture of remembrance in Anacortes. Local residents are encouraged to participate by viewing the exhibit and considering the purchase of prints.
