Anacortes will hold a Residential Clean Up Day on September 13, 2025, from 9:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at the Operations Facility.

This event allows residents to dispose of household garbage, furniture, and yard waste without charge, but verification of residency is required. Residents must show two forms of ID, and it is advisable to arrive early to avoid long lines. Accepted items exclude hazardous materials, large vehicle parts, and certain appliances, which incur fees—$63. 59 for refrigerators and $22. 71 for other appliances.

The city restricts loads to one pick-up load per customer, and unloading procedures will be enforced by staff. The initiative aims to promote community cleanliness and responsible waste disposal.
