Police arrest Anacortes man in motorcyclist's death

Anacortes Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that led to the death of a 48-year-old man on July 2. The incident occurred around 10:17 p. m. in the 1700 block of Q Avenue, where officers found the motorcycle down and the rider unconscious on the roadway. Despite immediate aid from Anacortes Fire Department medics, the man was declared dead shortly after.

Police later arrested a 49-year-old local man on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter as investigators determined another vehicle was involved. The ongoing investigation emphasizes the importance of community assistance, as authorities are seeking further information.
