Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell for two armed robberies occurring on November 2 and November 7, 2025. The first incident involved a robbery at a marijuana retail store, where an employee reported a man in a Halloween mask armed with a shotgun stealing cash. Investigators obtained video evidence, which led them to identify a suspect vehicle connected to McDowell. The following week, a second robbery at a gaming store showcased similar methods, with the same Halloween mask and weapon used. Law enforcement partners from the Spokane and Kalispel Tribes assisted in the investigation, resulting in McDowell's identification.

Police located him on November 7 and seized evidence from his location. He has been charged with two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 bond. The recent spike in armed robberies raises community concerns about safety and crime prevention efforts.
