Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell for two armed robberies, with the first occurring on November 2, 2025, at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street. An employee reported that a man in a Halloween mask, armed with a shotgun, stole cash from the register. Investigators obtained video evidence, leading them to identify a suspect vehicle. On November 7, another robbery happened at a gaming store, where similar items were used, including the Halloween mask and shotgun. Police located McDowell later that evening in the 2900 block of East Broad, where they seized evidence linked to both crimes.

McDowell faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 bond. The swift response from law enforcement, including assistance from local tribes, highlights effective collaboration in addressing crime. The community remains vigilant as investigators continue to follow up on leads.
