Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane will initiate two significant construction projects on July 21, impacting local traffic. South Freya St. will close from 13th Ave. to 21st Ave. for the replacement of over 3,000 feet of water main and street surface repairs, with the project slated for completion in late October.

Detour routes will direct motorists to Hartson Ave. , south Ray St. , and east 29th Ave. At the same time, South Lincoln St. will undergo swale planting rehabilitation, removing old plants and replacing them with new ones throughout the summer.

Flaggers will manage vehicle traffic during necessary work, and pedestrians will encounter detours when sidewalks are obstructed. Local access will remain available for residents in both areas. The projects aim to enhance infrastructure and minimize service disruptions. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and support local businesses affected by the construction.
