UW legend Kelsey Plum honored with jersey retirement for record-breaking achievements
Kelsey Plum, a legendary figure in collegiate women's basketball, is set to have her #10 jersey retired by the University of Washington during a ceremony on January 18, 2025. This momentous event not only celebrates Plum's individual achievements but also marks her as the first woman in UW's history to receive such an honor, a testament to her transformative impact on the program. During her time at UW from 2013 to 2017, she shattered numerous records, including becoming the NCAA's all-time scoring leader with 3,527 points. Plum also excelled in free throws, setting a new NCAA career record with 912 successful attempts. After her illustrious college career, she continued to shine on the national stage, winning a WNBA Championship and an Olympic gold medal as part of Team USA.
