Commissioner Damian Pardo, District 2
Commissioner Damian Pardo was elected to represent District 2 in Miami in November 2023, bringing a wealth of community activism and leadership experience. A lifelong resident, he has been deeply rooted in the Coconut Grove and Morningside neighborhoods, advocating for equality and diversity for over 35 years. Pardo founded SAVE in 1993, focusing on safeguarding American values and has co-founded 4Ward Miami to unite South Florida's diverse communities. His leadership roles, including two terms as President of CareResource, highlight his commitment to addressing health challenges such as the AIDS crisis. Additionally, he has served on the Miami Dade Equal Opportunity Board for 12 years and various non-profit boards, reinforcing his dedication to public service.
Currently, Pardo is a board member of the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, further solidifying his influence in local culture and heritage.
