Volunteers needed Lynnwood National Public Lands Day Sept. 27
The City of Lynnwood encourages residents to volunteer at Rowe Park on National Public Lands Day, scheduled for September 27 from 9 a. m. to noon. Volunteers will focus on removing invasive plants, ivy, and collecting trash, with tools and materials provided for participants of all ages. National Public Lands Day, established in 1994, represents the largest single-day volunteer effort in the U.
S. , as reported by the U. S. National Park Service. This day also allows free entry to all national parks, enhancing public engagement with natural spaces.
Local volunteer opportunities are available at various parks, promoting education and conservation efforts. RSVP is required for those who wish to participate in the Lynnwood event. For inquiries, contact Marielle Harrington via email. This event highlights the community's commitment to environmental stewardship and beautifying local parks.
