DUI, hit-and-run driver arrested after hitting three parked cars in Lynnwood

Miguel Velasquez Medina, 20, faces DUI and hit-and-run charges after crashing his Dodge Charger into three parked vehicles on 52nd Avenue West in Lynnwood on August 25. The collision occurred around 11:20 p. m. , with witnesses estimating Medina's speed at 40 mph. Following the crash, he fled the scene but was later found sitting on a curb near his vehicle.

Police reported signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, and Medina admitted to consuming eight beers before driving. After being medically evaluated at Swedish Edmonds Hospital, he was booked into the Lynnwood Justice Center. He was released on an $8,000 bond on August 28. Lynnwood police confirmed that no injuries resulted from the incident. This case emphasizes ongoing concerns regarding DUI offenses in the area.
