Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, a $26. 5 million project, is set to open in January, serving as a comprehensive community hub in Lynnwood. Covering 39,000 square feet, the center has raised over $25 million with continued support from local governments and organizations, though it still needs about $1. 3 million to complete funding. It will feature early learning classrooms for children, programs for adults with disabilities, and tech education aimed at bridging the digital divide.

A Piazza, inspired by Italian public squares, will serve as a gathering space, complete with a café. The center is designed with green technology, including solar panels and repurposed materials, emphasizing sustainability. Volunteers of America Western Washington will manage the facility, collaborating with Trinity Lutheran Church, which leases the land for $1 per year. The center aims to address the evolving needs of residents in South Snohomish and North King Counties. This initiative reflects a significant investment in community resources and engagement, enhancing local service accessibility.
