Last-minute camping? No problem, WA State Parks says

Lynnwood, WALocal News

Washington State Parks introduced a "Flexible Dates" feature to simplify campsite reservations as the camping season approaches its conclusion. This tool allows users to search for available sites up to four months in advance by filtering options based on group size and camping gear. Campers seeking last-minute getaways can book same-day reservations online or by calling 1-888-CAMPOUT, provided they do so before 2 p. m. on the intended arrival day.

The parks also engage with the public by sharing available campsites weekly on their Facebook and Instagram stories. To promote a harmonious camping experience, the article outlines essential etiquette, such as adhering to quiet hours and maintaining cleanliness. Campers are urged to check for burn bans before lighting fires and to ensure that their pets are leashed and cleaned up after. This emphasis on courtesy helps foster a welcoming environment for all visitors. With these tips, campers can enjoy the beauty of Washington's state parks while being considerate of their neighbors.
