Snohomish County invites public to Climate Resilience Open House July 30
The Snohomish County Department of Conservation & Natural Resources will host a Climate Resilience Open House on July 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p. m. at Mariner High School in Everett. The event aims to educate residents about climate impacts such as hotter summers and increased flooding. Community feedback will help shape the county's Communitywide Climate Resiliency Plan.
“Community voices are essential to building a plan that meets our shared needs,” said Molly Beeman, the Office of Energy & Sustainability Manager. Attendees can engage with interactive displays, participate in hands-on activities, and provide feedback on prioritizing climate efforts. Light snacks will be provided, and families are encouraged to attend. Spanish interpretation will be available, and those unable to attend can complete an online survey. The county seeks to prioritize actions that protect residents, businesses, and ecosystems from climate change.
