Reminder Northwest Symphony Orchestra Performs Family Concert in Burien This Saturday, Oct. 11

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 2025-26 season with a family concert titled Adventures and Heroes on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p. m. at the Highline Performing Arts Center. Under the direction of Music Director Anthony Spain, the orchestra will perform a diverse program, including Rossini’s William Tell Overture and Beethoven’s Symphony No.

5. Additionally, the concert will feature compositions such as Clement Reid’s Adventure and Kathryn Griesinger’s Epic Adventure, alongside Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in A Minor (First Movement). A standout moment will be a solo performance by Avi Spillers, a talented violinist from Mount Rainier High School and a participant in the Key to Change program. The event is designed to be a family-friendly introduction to symphonic music, encouraging young audiences to engage with the art form. Ticket prices range from $15 to $20, and students aged 18 and under can attend for free at the door.
