Burien Police arrest man with warrant at Annex Park, find drugs, stolen mail

Burien Police arrested a man with a $15,000 theft warrant at Annex Park on September 3. Detective Easterbrook recognized the suspect during a routine patrol at the skate park and confirmed the warrant through their system. During the arrest, officers discovered a small amount of meth and stolen mail in the man's possession. Police emphasized their commitment to maintaining safe public spaces, stating, “Parks are a welcome place for those who obey laws. ” This incident follows a previous arrest involving an adult female found drinking alcohol at the park, who also had a DUI warrant.

The Burien Police strive to find a balance between visibility, enforcement, and respecting individual rights within the community.
