Map released for Buriens awesome Arts-A-Glow festival, coming Saturday, Sept. 6

Burien's "Arts-A-Glow" festival will transform downtown into a vibrant outdoor gallery on Sept. 6, 2025, from 7 to 10 p. m. The event will showcase lantern art installations, live music, and family-friendly activities, including a performance by VamoLá! from 8:30 to 9 p.

m. Organizers indicate that this year will feature new art forms, such as projection mapping and light installations. Traffic disruptions are expected as parts of SW 152nd Street and nearby intersections will close to vehicles during the festival. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early or use public transit, as parking options are limited. The festival emphasizes community engagement and highlights local artists, drawing thousands of visitors annually.

Seven local arts organizations received a total of $65,000 in funding through the ArtsFund's 2025 Community Accelerator Grant program, supporting the arts in Burien. This year’s funding is part of a larger $10 million investment aimed at enhancing cultural vibrancy across Washington.
