Kent and Auburn police arrest armed robbery suspect after high-speed chase, crash

Auburn, WALocal News

Early on November 7, 2025, a 36-year-old man from Bothell was arrested for allegedly robbing a 27-year-old victim at gunpoint in Kent. The suspect stole the victim's work van and led police on a high-speed chase that ended when he crashed the vehicle in Auburn. Officers located the abandoned van shortly after and set up a perimeter, where they eventually found the suspect hiding on a porch. He was taken into custody without further incident and treated for minor injuries. The suspect faces charges of first-degree robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, and eluding police.

Detectives later recovered a loaded handgun from the van that matched the victim's description and found the victim’s phone discarded nearby. Kent Police highlighted the effective coordination between their officers and Auburn's K9 units, which contributed to the swift resolution of the case. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
